HUANCAVELICA

"City of the kings" Capital city of Peru of more than 6 million people. Declared by Unesco "Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad"

TACNA

Coastal colonial city on the border with Chile with lots of trade.

PUNO

Famous for Lake Titicaca. There are at least 40 islands lots of them inhabited by old ethnic groups.

AYACUCHO

Famous for the enormous amount of colonial churches and its arts.

ICA

About 4 hours by car from Lima famous for good drinks, food, climate and music.

CUZCO

Old capital of the Inca empire and gateway to Machu Picchu.

ANCASH

Birthplace of the Chavin culture. The main tourist attraction is Callejón de Huaylas with lots of snow peaked mountains. The capital city of this department is Huaraz.

LA LIBERTAD

Its Capital city called Trujillo with over 1 million inhabitants is known as the city of the eternal spring because of its splendid climate.

AREQUIPA

"The white city " as it is known is famous for the white colored volcanic stones which are used in the constructions. There are lots of beautiful colonial buildings and churches.

LORETO

With an extension of 368,852 km2 this is the largest department of Peru. Here you find the most varied flora and fauna of Peru as it is drained by the Amazon river.
